Games to Play Together on Two Phones
You do not need identical phones to join the same drawing or puzzle room. Open the game in a browser on each device, create one lobby and share its invitation. Both phones need an internet connection.
Choose a game for two →One host, one invitation
The first person creates the room. The second person opens that invitation or enters its code through Join with a code. Creating two separate lobbies will put you on different boards even if you choose the same picture.
Check the code and the names in Players at this table before starting. You can use different networks; being on the same Wi-Fi is not required.
Choose a game that fits a small screen
Draw & Guess is a good choice when you enjoy sketching and typing short guesses. A 24- or 50-piece puzzle is a simpler starting point if you prefer dragging pieces. Larger puzzles need more zooming and panning on a phone.
Couples drawing modes are another option for two players. Read the mode’s How to play instructions before starting so both people know whether they should draw, reveal or vote.
Make puzzle controls easier
- Start with rotation off so there is one less action to learn.
- Pinch to enlarge the pieces, then drag empty board space to move the view.
- Use Show all when you cannot find a loose piece and Center board to return to the picture.
- Expand chat to read a conversation, then minimise it when you want more board space.
- Keep the game tab open while you play; repeatedly switching apps can interrupt the connection.
If the keyboard covers your view
Send your message, dismiss the keyboard and minimise chat before moving another piece. If the browser remains zoomed in, return it to your usual page scale. Do not create a replacement lobby just because the keyboard changed your view.
If controls feel cramped, try a larger screen for your next game. Avoid a 1,000-piece board as your first attempt on a small phone.
If one phone cannot join
Check that the host still has the lobby open and that the invitation belongs to the same room. If a connection briefly drops, return to the game before making a new room. An ended-room message means you should follow the recovery option or ask for the current invitation.
Use a normal browser tab if a messaging app’s built-in browser behaves unexpectedly. Reopen the same link rather than guessing a different room code.
Questions before you play
Do both phones need the same browser?
No. Use a current browser supported by your device. If a particular browser fails to connect, try opening the invitation in your device’s normal browser.
Can a computer join us too?
Yes. Drawing and puzzle rooms can include phone and computer players, within the room’s player limit.
